This is the 2021 Summer Engagement Style Guide! Tips and tricks to help plan your outfits for your engagement session!
TIP 1: AVOID PATTERNS!
Keep it simple by wearing solid colors, but avoid wearing the same colors! Use colors that complement each other!
Ex. Whites, tans, blacks, blush, sage, olive, rust, wine, mustard, etc…! NEUTRALS!
They go best with my editing style and will complement you and your honey – Less focus on the outfit, more focus on you and your love.
TIP 2: You can dress casual!
If fancy clothes aren’t your style – no worries! Dress to your personality!
Remember though, keep it neutral, black, white, jean pants/shorts. Tan khaki shorts/pants. Plain colored button-up/ t-shirt. Pair with a denim jacket, cardigan, etc..!
Keep your shoes simple as well! plain colored, not too attention-grabbing. sandals, heels, nice shoes, boots, etc..!!
I think you get it, you’re taking professional photos, not going to a backyard grill-out.
TIP 3: ACCESSSORIZE!
Add a touch of you!!
Do you love hats, jackets, necklaces, bold earrings? Guys? Wear a watch to pair with that gorgeous ring shot!
They add a fun element for the photos and allow you to be you and create DIFFERENT photos that are unique!
TIP 4: HAIR + MAKEUP!
Do something fun, curling your hair is always the go-to, but you can also put it in an updo, braids more your style – go for it!!
Keep the makeup neutral, but make it unique to you! Nothing glittery please 🙂
GUYS: a haircut a couple of days before the shoot to spiffy up and tidy up your look is recommended! Trim up the beard, and you’re golden!
